Brooke Bodar, LPC

Brooke Bodar grew up in a small Wyoming town, where an early affinity for horses and the outdoors shaped her interests. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Wyoming in 2013 and discovered an initial passion for supporting people with speech challenges. Seeking to address the deeper influences on clients’ lives, she returned to school for a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling, graduating in 2016. After completing her graduate work she moved with her husband, dog, and two horses to another small Wyoming community and began practicing in community mental health settings as a Licensed Professional Counselor. A Licensed Professional Counselor - or LPC - is a clinician credential that indicates formal training to provide mental health counseling.

Brooke’s career path shifted when she became a mother in 2017, prompting a move into school counseling that felt energizing and rewarding while she maintained a part-time private practice in mental health. She values the therapeutic relationship and emphasizes unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity as the core conditions that support clients in exploring their experiences and making meaningful changes. She believes people possess innate wisdom to work through challenges, and she aims to create a space where clients feel heard and understood.

Brooke connects easily with people and enjoys helping clients increase confidence in their decisions and life direction. She is pursuing certification in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and, outside of her clinical work, spends free time riding horses, exploring the mountains, and being with her family and animals. Brooke is also open to connecting with clients through online channels and is enthusiastic about offering care .
