William Rusnak, LPC

William Rusnak approaches counseling as a guided process of learning and growth, helping people navigate periods when they feel stuck, lost, or overwhelmed. He frames therapy as a collaborative search rather than a source of ready-made answers, working with each person to set goals and develop treatment plans that address their specific concerns. As a Licensed Professional Counselor - LPC, he brings professional training and clinical experience to issues such as stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, depression, and major life changes.

Before becoming a counselor, William worked in the defense and telecommunications industries, and he spent 25 years married to his wife. During the last six years of her life he provided caregiving while she lived with a rare form of dementia, an experience that informs his understanding of grief, caregiving strain, depression, and the challenge of rebuilding life after loss. He integrates an attachment-based focus with practical techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and is able to offer a Christian and Biblical perspective when that approach is appropriate for the client.

William is licensed to practice in both Texas and Arkansas and centers his work on helping people repair attachment wounds, improve communication, manage guilt and shame, confront isolation and loneliness, clarify life purpose, and strengthen self-love and coping skills.
