Felicia Nicosia, LCPC, LMHC

Felicia Nicosia brings 18 years of clinical experience to her work with people navigating stress, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, and other life transitions. She is licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, and she holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University in Chicago. Her background includes traditional outpatient counseling, inpatient psychiatric treatment, foster care and parent coaching, work with at-risk youth, emergency crisis counseling, equine-assisted psychotherapy, and art therapy, which together inform a broad and practical approach to care.

Felicia grounds her work in an Adlerian psychotherapy orientation while using an eclectic mix of methods suited to each person’s needs. She takes a holistic view of functioning, considering environmental and lifestyle factors such as health, stress level, sleep, diet, exercise, recreation, sexual function, and spiritual or creative expression when collaborating on treatment plans. As a person of faith, she is comfortable working with clients at any stage of their spiritual journey, including those who do not follow organized religion.

She works with adults across the lifespan and with people of all gender identities and sexual orientations. In sessions clients can expect respectful, supportive care delivered with enthusiasm, hopefulness, warmth, genuineness, and cultural sensitivity.
