Molly Techau, LMFT, LPCC

Molly Techau is a licensed therapist based in Kentucky who brings a compassionate, presence-centered approach to working with preteens, teens, young adults, and adults ages 12 and up. Originally from Texas, she moved to Kentucky to pursue a Masters in Divinity and, after the unexpected loss of her father, engaged in counseling that shaped her understanding of grief and relationship work. That personal experience, combined with many meaningful friendships and relationships, inspired her to pursue counseling as a vocation and to support others through life transitions and difficult emotions.

Molly holds dual credentials as an LMFT and LPCC - a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - which reflect her training to work with individuals, couples, and families. She focuses on evidence-based techniques to address stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship or family concerns, and she also works with issues related to adoption and foster care, blended families, body image, caregiver stress, and disordered eating. Her style is collaborative and nonjudgmental, tailoring each session to the client while offering gentle challenges that move clients toward their goals.

Outside of her clinical work, Molly is married to her husband, Davis, and they share life with four large dogs - Copper, Bruce, Tucker, and Otter Lee - who keep them on weekend adventures. She enjoys running, leading Bible study, mentoring, writing, reading, journaling, and spending time with family and friends, and she brings a bright-hearted, gentle presence to both her personal life and her practice.
